From its first appearance the Moto Morini Milano entered into the soul of all those motorcyclists who saw in its design purity that same motorcycle that they dreamed of as a child; it has also, like them, grown and matured, yet always remaining faithful to itself.
With its simple, pure, evocative design it has once again made us dream of freedom, a style rich in that subtle fascination that only a product entirely assembled by hand in Italy can boast. Its form comes from the material giving us the purest, carefree riding pleasure, exalting the qualities of the trellis frame and the Bialbero Corsacorta engine designed by the same Franco Lambertini who was the father of the 3 1⁄2.
Just like the 3 1⁄2, considered a precious but not unaffordable object, desired by many and still today loved by its owners and sought after by collectors, it is also easy to fall in love with the Milano. Endowed with a free and sincere spirit, we have made it a lighter, but stable motorcycle, from the low inviting saddle, with an innate propensity to have fun taking on corners: travelling with her is stress-free, making for an unforgettable, unique and satisfying riding experience.
The Milano is Italian pride following the Morini philosophy and style, two words which highlight our work, made with passion, taste and attention to every single detail stemming from a more than 80 years-old motorcycle culture and history. Our soul lives here, between the two cylinders of the Bialbero CorsaCorta 1200, positioned in an 87° “V”. The engine, designed by Franco Lambertini, brings to life the glorious past of Moto Morini, both through its name, which brings to mind the 250 Bialbero that towards the end of the 1950s was the world’s fastest single-cylinder motorcycle, and through its design that incorporates other historical Morini models, also powered by Lambertini designed engines.
1,187 cc, four-valve, liquid-cooled, cylinder blocks with crankcase, dual camshaft, aluminum alloy heads with 10% silicon: the Bialbero 1200 CorsaCorta brings together some typical traits of Italian engines with innovative ideas. Such as the mixed solution chosen for the power supply, with the camshafts driven by two chains in opposition moved by a common intermediate shaft that runs through the V of the cylinders. The angle between the cylinders makes the CorsaCorta perfectly balanced, meaning that countershafts are not needed, with a consequent reduction in inertia, allowing high rotation speeds to be reached. Moreover, the exceptional 107 mm bore allows for the use of sufficiently large valves to give free rein to the high-revving potential of the twin-cylinders. When ridden, in fact, the Bialbero 1200 CorsaCorta demonstrates a solid and constant power supply right up to top speed, unlike any other twin-cylinder that suffers at higher revs. Its character is unique, providing just the right amount of power to enjoy every ride, tackling any corner and putting to work the excellent chassis.
The Bialbero 1200 CorsaCorta was created for riding pleasure and cannot be fully appreciated through technical specifications alone: you need to climb in the saddle and start the engine.
